Ants' Hideout

Hia! I'm from ProjectComment and I'm here to give you some constructive criticism. I love the picture! I think the focus is great for the most part and the subject matter is a creative view at something we normally wouldn't see in that manner. However, I do have some suggestions. In the upper left hand corner, the focus is a bit weird, it looks like you were moving so I don't know how that's possible. Whatever happened, it is drawing a bit to much attention and making me dizzy so perhaps you could add a vignette or something of the sort to make it less of a focal point. In the future, also try to avoid pieces in the front of the focal point that distract like those flowers in the foreground. Taking the picture from the right could have eliminated this as well. That's really all the critique I have in terms of technique! You were clearly looking to focus on the texture of the opening in this photo and I like that. Maybe it would have been interesting if you took the photo from the same height as the hole so it seems a bit more mysterious. I don't know, just something to think about for the future... I really like this photo and all of your photographs in general- please keep up the great work!
